Bilateral trade between Cambodia and Vietnam reached $732.4 million in the first quarter of this year, up 15.20 per cent compared to the same period last year, said a report from the Ministry of Commerce.
The Ministry of Defense received 16 tonnes of medical supplies from its Chinese counterpart. The aid comes following China’s previously held technical training and donation to the Kingdom’s military doctors for the country’s fight against COVID-19.
The United States, through the US Agency for International Development committed a $1.5 million aid to the Ministry of Health to help in the Kingdom’s efforts to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. The donation is the latest COVID-19 assistance from the US, with its total coronavirus aid to Cambodia currently amounting to over $3.5 million.
UNAIDS, in its blog said that as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic many businesses have closed in Thailand. This has resulted in more than 90,000 Cambodian migrant workers losing their employment and has returned home.https://bit.ly/3faNHwG;
