The National Election Committee (NEC) has a tentative plan to register political parties and candidates online next year to bolster trust in Cambodian elections and the country’s information technology system.
In a statement released yesterday, the NEC called for Cambodians to check their names on the voter list, which will be posted between November 27 and December 2.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng requested governors in Phnom Penh and the provinces to specifically set their administrative borders and send documents to the ministry by the end of the year to address issues related to the commune elections for the fifth mandate.
