On 14 January, police arrested four people after a mass trial against opposition officials and supporters at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
Kith Theang, the brother of tycoon Kith Meng, was absent from a new drug trial at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, with a prisons official saying Theang was in hospital.
The Supreme Court began hearing an appeal by activist Sar Kanika who has been denied bail while awaiting trial on charges of “incitement” in connection with a protest in front of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court last year.
