The government has decided not to extend the lockdowns in Phnom Penh and Kandal province’s Takhmao city, except for a few areas with a high transmission of COVID-19. Interprovincial travel will also be allowed.
Cambodia’s Ministry of Health confirmed that Prime Minister Hun Sen has allocated 2290 million riels (USD 563,700) to support the quarantine centres in 24 provinces (excluding Phnom Penh) to be used for quarantine purpose in the next week.
Prime Minister Hun Sen has instructed provincial authorities not to impose a mandatory 14-day quarantine for people entering their territories. The measure, he said, should only applies to those suspected of carrying Covid-19.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has issued a circular on the revision and strengthening of the national budget expenditures in 2021 because the lockdown measures in some geographical areas are having a general impact on the 2021 National budget framework.
