Ministry of Health spokeswoman Or Vandine on May 11 said Cambodia had
detected its first case of a highly infectious coronavirus variant first
identified in India – officially known as B.1.617 – in a passenger that has
since recovered.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has so far spent some $300 million to
support the underprivileged amid the COVID-19 pandemic, said Samheng Boros,
Secretary of State and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Social Affairs,
Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation at a special forum broadcasted live on
TVK.
