make an official visit to Cambodia, as the Kingdom hosts the Asia-Europe
Summit on November 25 and 26 and assumes the chair of Asean.

Cambodia was among a minority of countries who did not sign a pledge to
conserve and expand its forested ecosystems in the U.N. global climate talks
last week despite forest loss being the country’s highest source of

Opposition activists Voeun Veasna and Voeung Samnang have been deported to Cambodia from Thailand. The deportations on November 8 were at the request of Cambodian authorities.  Voeung Samnang and Voeun Veasna were arrested in Bangkok  and have since been placed in detention at Phnom Penh’s Prey Sar Prison. Both activists had continued to criticize the government online from abroad.
