Two ships from the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) have docked at Preah Sihanouk Autonomous Port to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the JMSDF’s first Peacekeeping Operation (PKO), with a military drill and visit to Ream Naval Base planned for their crews’ three-day visit. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Tea Banh expressed his firm belief that the Japanese government will allow bilateral military cooperation with Cambodia more actively.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will pay an official visit to Cambodia on March 20-21 to enhance relations and cooperation between the two countries.
