Elections/National Election Committee (27th – 31st March, 2023)
The National Election Committee (NEC) Chairman, Prach Chan, met Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, during a courtesy call to discuss the general situation regarding the upcoming Cambodian elections. The Government of Japan does not have a plan to provide election materials or cover election expenses. He added, “The Japanese side has indicated no intention to deploy official monitors in the upcoming national election.”
