The Phnom Penh Appeal Court continued the hearing of former opposition leader Kem Sokha yesterday who was sentenced last year by the lower court to 27 years in prison on the charge of collusion with foreigners.
Provincial courts convicted two well-known activists on environmental activist Chhorn Phalla on defamation, insult and incitement charges and Candlelight official Chao Veasna on incitement charges.
A Cambodian opposition party official who posted a photo of his spoiled election ballot on Facebook during last year’s general election was sentenced to three years in prison for incitement.
