The National Election Committee (NEC) reported a calm and orderly campaign period for the 5th Senate election, scheduled for February 25, with all four participating parties adhering to established rules and ethical codes. In the upcoming 5th Senate Election 11,622 councillors and 125 lawmakers will vote, according to the National Election Committee (NEC).
The National Election Committee (NEC) has officially authorised 228 observers including 39 women from the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), the Khmer Will Party (KWP), Funcinpec, and the National Power Party (NPP) to observe the election process.
The Ministry of Interior has warned against any form of intimidation by political parties and called on all eligible electors for the 5th Senate Election on Feb. 25 to fully exercise their rights.
