Ratanakiri provincial authorities arrested 26 Vietnamese illegal gold miners in Ta Veng District, who were deported back to Vietnam through the O’Yadav international border with impunity. Authorities also arrested other two Vietnamese suspects transporting 700 kilogrammes of illegal drugs in Phnom Penh.
The Phnom Penh Municipal Court charged and jailed a former Major General Police Officer in the Ministry of Interior for cheating more than $50,000 from three people in return for securing the trio police jobs in 2021.
The Phnom Penh Municipal Court sentenced two foreigners to life in prison for allegedly possessing and transporting nearly 160 kilogrammes of ice from the Cambodia-Lao border to Phnom Penh in 2022.
