The Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers Democratic Union (CCAWDU) and the Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) have issued a statement, saying that the NGO CENTRAL’s recent report does not reflect the real situation in the garment sector of Cambodia and offers only a one-sided view. About 70 union federations and unions of pro government protested against the Center for Alliance of Labor and Human Rights (CENTRAL) in Phnom Penh for publishing a report, which they alleged restricted union representatives’ freedom of association.
