A senior official of the opposition Nation Power Party (NPP) was charged by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court with incitement in connection with his social media comments criticising government leaders over the Cambodia-Thailand borders clashes last December. The arrest warrant dated January 8 showed the accused was Sar Nal, 57, Chief of Chom Chao II commune’s NPP Councillors. NPP senior official who criticised the government on social media faces up to three years in jail, if found guilty.
