Civil society, politicians, and environmental activists have criticized the people responsible for the clearing of the Phnom Tamao conservation area, arguing relevant officials should step down to show accountability. Prime Minister Hun Sen has revoked all deals to develop Tamao Sanctuary to preserve the forest adjacent to the Phnom Tamao Zoological Park and Wildlife Rescue Centre (PTWRC).

Twenty-four unions and civil society organizations have collectively rejected a warning letter sent by the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training's Department of Labor Disputes stating that Yang Sophorn was not the leader of the NagaWorld workers' protest. Garment factory workers filed a fresh petition to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court this week as they continue to camp out every night on Phnom Penh’s Veng Sreng Blvd. four months into their labor dispute. The NagaWorld protests again turned violent as workers tried to move police barricades blocking them from getting to the casino complex, with one worker left with a bloody nose after the tussle.
