Six representatives of the Bunong indigenous community have filed a complaint with the Mondulkiri Provincial Court seeking an investigation into their commune and village chiefs, who they alleged had turned a blind eye to infringement on their traditional burial grounds.

A group of about 60 NagaWorld workers detained for Covid-19 measures while attempting to resume their strike said two people had tested positive for the virus but only after being tested a second time — initially all workers had tested negative, the workers said. Cambodian civil society groups, community organizations, and trade unions accused governmental officials of sexually harassing female strikers and applying COVID prevention rules arbitrarily as part of an effort to break up recent labor demonstrations. Each of the workers has been fined up to 2 million riels (U.S. $470) for allegedly violating COVID-19 measures as they tried to resume their strike,
