Committee for Free and Fair Elections in Cambodia (COMFREL), Silaka Cambodia, Gender and Development for Cambodia (GADC) and Banteay Srei have reported about women in public positions and leading political positions at the national level. They note that while women are participating in public life at all levels, there is a major deficit of women working in the government of the seventh mandate.

A union representative from the Building and Wood Workers Trade Union Federation of Cambodia (BWTUC) has appealed to the Ministry of Labour to introduce regulations to restrict and prevent the use of asbestos in construction to protect worker’s health.
