The National Election Committee (NEC) is recruiting 527 new officials on short-term contracts to work in the 25 municipal-provincial election secretariats, verifying the registration of the 2022 voter list. The recruitment process began August 1. There is still a lot of work to be done between now and the election, including important steps like voter list verification as well as voter registrations.
