The National Election Committee (NEC) has removed some 250,000 names from the voters list during the recent voter registration and voter verification exercise.
The National Election Committee (NEC) has so far granted permission to 7,662 political party representatives – 1,617 of them women – to observe its preparations of voter lists, ahead of next year’s national elections. Cambodia has invited the EU to send observers to monitor the 2023 election after no observers from a group of European states were deployed for the 2022 commune elections.
