Election campaigning will kick off for the two weeks ahead of the June 5 vote, during which parties will be allowed two rallies per contesting commune as long as they stay within boundaries and give three days’ notice. The National Election Committee (NEC) has reminded all political parties to abide by the election law and regulations as 17 political parties will begin their campaign this weekend across the country. The NEC has asked the apex law enforcement agency to work with it and ensure that legal action is taken against perceived fake news or incitement.
