The National Election Committee (NEC) is likely to turn down a proposal from some political parties to conduct a large-scale election campaign, citing an uncontrollable campaign in the previous 2013 National Election. Despite a call by an election watchdog to reduce spending by printing minimal reserve ballots for the upcoming election, the National Election Committee (NEC) insisted it has to print 10% more on top of the nearly 10 million required for the polls.
