Prime Minister Hun Manet has expressed his endorsement for the ongoing strengthening and expansion of Cambodia-China military cooperation in various domains, including joint training exercises, human resources development, unit-to-unit collaboration and mine clearance efforts within Cambodia.
In a bid to boost security cooperation against terrorism, cybercrime and cross-border criminal activities, Cambodia and the US engaged in recent discussions. Cambodia sought ongoing support from the US, encompassing training and equipment for their specialists in the fight against crime.
Some of 25 Japanese men arrested for allegedly taking part in phone scams from Phnom Penh targeting people across Japan have complained about harsh treatment by those who led the operation in the Cambodian capital.
