An EU delegation is set to arrive in Phnom Penh next week for a two-day official visit to as part of the review and monitoring process as it considers withdrawing Cambodia’s access to its preferential ‘Everything But Arms’ (EBA) agreement, officials said on Tuesday. The topic of ensuring political space was mentioned during a farewell visit by outgoing European Union Ambassador George Edgar to Interior Minister Sar Kheng yesterday. “He asked the government to ensure better political space in Cambodia,” Interior Ministry spokesman Phat Sophanith said.
