China is committed to expanding relations with Cambodia and forging them to be “stronger than steel” by continuing to help the Kingdom’s economy to grow, Chinese State Councillor and foreign minister Wang Yi affirmed as he wrapped up his two-day visit. In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong , China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi pledged a $270 million grant and an additional three million Covid-19 vaccine doses, calling Cambodia one of Beijing’s closest allies in southeast Asia. Prime Minister Hun Sen praised the ironclad friendship between Cambodia and China at the handover ceremony of the Morodok Techo ( Hun Sen Title Name) National Stadium for the 2023 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) attended by China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi attended and Defence Minister General Tea Banh.
