The French government donated €1.5 million ($1.82 million) to the Mekong
River Commission (MRC) to improve its river monitoring network and better
manage water infrastructure projects, according to a press statement
released on May 17.
US Ambassador to Cambodia Patrick Murphy met with Minister of Foreign
Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn on May 17 for talks on
bilateral and regional issues as well as US efforts to stand with Cambodia
in the fight against Covid-19, according to a press release from the US
embassy.
The UN in Cambodia will provide material to Preah Sihanouk provincial
prison to help prevent Covid-19 transmission after 34 cases were found among
detainees on May 8.
Cambodia and Australia have reaffirmed their commitment to increase their
two-way trade, advance their cooperation in the trade sector and other
areas, especially their close relations.

held a virtual conference on May 18 to discuss the outcomes of the CPV’s
13th National Congress and the cooperation between the two parties and
