Hun Manet, deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces
(RCAF), has instructed all units under the army to get ready to execute the
tasks assigned to them and other orders from the government, especially
rescue operations for any unforeseen disasters.
The border police forces, in cooperation with the military, at midnight
last night arrested 19 migrant workers in Banteay Meanchey province’s Malai
district for attempting to cross the border to work illegally in Thailand.
The Government has banned people from travelling to work overseas due to the
outbreak of Covid-19.
Phnom Penh Municipal Court has decided to charge a group of individuals,
including Sam Rainsy, Eng Chhay Eang and Mu Sochua and Ho Van on charges of
“conspiracy and incitement to cause serious disturbance to social security”
under Articles 453, 494 and 495 of the Penal Code of the Kingdom of
Cambodia.
