Former opposition leader Kem Sokha’s lawyers said in a statement that they were denied access to their client in violation of his rights, preventing them from discussing a planned appeal against his treason conviction. The Phnom Penh Municipal Court said that Kem Sokha’s lawyers did not follow procedure and apply to be able to visit him.
