Police in Battambang province’s Kamrieng district, in cooperation with the military, arrested a broker suspected of trying to take 57 labourers across the border to work in Thailand in violation of a ban on crossings.
Phnom Penh Court of Appeal heard the appeal case of three youth activists working for Mother Nature Cambodia. The three were sentenced in May by the municipal court for incitement against the authorities and the Government, committed between 2017 and 2020 in the country.
A military official said a joint-patrol along the Cambodian-Thai border by soldiers and border police in Battambang province’s Kamrieng district discovered a cache of 42 rifle magazines and 508 bullets on October 19.
The Phnom Penh Municipal Court sentenced a provincial anti-drug military police deputy commander to 27 years and his girlfriend 23 years in jail after they were found guilty of selling almost two kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamines to an undercover police officer who impersonated as a drug dealer and ordered to buy the drugs from them last year.
