A statement from the Phnom Penh Capital Administration appears to indicate
that inhabitants of Phnom Penh’s floating villages must dismantle their
dwellings and find a new place to live, after they were issued with an
eviction notice by City Hall.
Some among 50 soldiers fired at the feet of a dozen farmers , hitting and
injuring one, as the Defense Ministry moved to take over state land that
locals have farmed for decades, according to villagers.
The Phnom Penh authorities had issued a decision on the night of June 2 on
measures to be adopted to curb the surge of Covid-19 in the city.
