Cambodian government are planning to "strictly control" the activities of potential critics of the regime, as Prime Minister Hun Sen aims to further strengthen the power base of his Cambodian People's Party, according to a leaked government document.
Cambodia's government on said a decision by the European Union to ramp up trade pressure on the country over human rights concerns was an "extreme injustice", adding it risked destroying decades of development in the country.
