The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation has spent
more than $322 million on cash assistance programmes for the poor and
vulnerable during the Covid-19 crisis since the end of June last year,
helping nearly 700,000 families.
Cambodia is committed to promoting the rights of children and increasing
all forms of protection for them, Prime Minister Hun Sen said in a letter on
May 19 in advance of the upcoming International Children’s Day on June 1, as
well as the World Day Against Child Labour on June 12.

Prime Minister Hun Sen will take part in the 2nd P4G Summit on May 31 via
video link, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
said, noting that the head of government’s appearance comes at the
invitation of South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
