The government on April 25 decided to lift the inter-provincial travel ban
and the closures of tourist attractions across the country, effectively
immediately. The government however decided to extend the lockdowns in Phnom
Penh and Takhmao city in Kandal province for another week to May 5 to stem
the spread of COVID-19.

Prime Minister Hun Sen has told the National Commission for Covid-19
Vaccination Programme to vaccinate all of the roughly three million people
in Phnom Penh and Kandal province, starting in the red zones. He ordered
the military to conduct the campaign to immunise Phnom Penh residents
against the disease and cut off the chain of transmission.
