The National Assembly (NA) unveiled its first six-month performance review.
The NA statement said, “Over the past six months NA Committees have invited members of the government and the heads of 17 government ministries and institutions to discuss implementation of the first phase of Pentagonal Strategy”.
The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) is preparing to inject a budget of nearly $450 million to improve healthcare services, covering up to 9 million people across the country as well as other public services, especially the poor and vulnerable families which are in line with the National Social Protection Policy (SPPF). A working group representing 19 civil society organizations is urging the Cambodian government to increase funding for education, health and social protection in response to the 2024 budget approved by the National Assembly.
The government establishes a Committee for Legal Reform in order to frame new laws, for law enforcement and modernisation of the rule of law in the country.
