Cambodian government has stopped publishing data on new citizenships issued by the kingdom to foreigners, in the wake of the $3 billion money laundering probe in Singapore.
Cambodian government accepted 232 out of 275 recommendations from UN member states, representing 84.63%. However, the government said that 43 recommendations were deemed inconsistent with Cambodia’s internal affairs and legal framework, describing them as politically motivated and unconstitutional. Cambodia’s human rights progress was recognised during the 57th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) as the country’s fourth Universal Periodic Review (UPR) report was officially approved.
