CAMBODIA is at a high risk of a Covid-19 outbreak with the pandemic situation in the country being described as alarming. Prime Minister Hun Sen, however, said that he would not declare a state of emergency and called on the people to constantly adhere to health safety measures.

Cambodia's Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed that three more people, who came in direct contact with infected Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, tested positive for the COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections from Szijjarto to four. Schools in Cambodia's capital and the surrounding area will be shut for two weeks as a precaution after Hungary's foreign minister tested positive for the coronavirus after visiting Cambodia last week, the Education Ministry said .

The government has unveiled its second-phase 10-year action plan to continue its implementation of the National Programme for Sub-National Democratic Development (NP-SNDD) for 2021-2030. The first phase will conclude at the end of this year.
