The Ministry of Information’s Fake News Monitoring Committee was formed in 11th March to combat fake news on social media sites. It has acted against more than 100 Facebook pages and news site; it said the dissemination of fake news on various social networks has decreased by over 50 per cent.
The editor-in-chief of popular online news outlet TVFB was jailed on Thursday on incitement charges in relation to a Facebook post in which he shared remarks made by Prime Minister Hun Sen this week about struggling informal workers.https://bit.ly/34nUCO7;
