The government and pro government media associations are advocating for the drafting of a new Press Law, aimed at replacing the existing 1995 Press Law, which they perceive as outdated and riddled with loopholes in the context of modern technology.
Mr. Neth Pheakdra, Minister of Information, has issued a decision to revoke the licenses of two media organizations after they committed serious misconduct in journalism and violated business contracts.
