Huione Pay’s license was revoked a year ago, but the National Bank of Cambodia only announced it, taking vendors and contractors by surprise following the sudden freezing of cash accounts. They now face challenges paying salaries, doing business, and conducting transactions. The absence of prior notification has raised questions over regulatory oversight and trust in Cambodia’s financial system.
