Opposition political groups appear to be adopting a casual attitude over Prime Minister Hun Sen’s move to hand over power to his son General Hun Manet.
With the initial election results confirming the ruling party’s sweeping victory, securing 120 out of the 125 parliament seats, The royalist Funcinpec Party made an unexpected comeback after winning five seats at the National Assembly in the July 23 national elections.
None of the 12 minor political parties had filed any complaints to the National Election Committee about Sunday’s elections.
