Former opposition leader Sam Rainsy called on Cambodians to follow the example of the people of Myanmar and “rise up against dictatorship” , a remark which was described by the Ministry of Justice and the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) officials as the manifestation of his “crime” for which he has recently been convicted.
Amid the upcoming return of Funcinpec president Prince Norodom Ranariddh from his medical treatment in France, the current and ex-senior officials have called for unity among the royalists to be ready to contest in the upcoming commune election.
